The position will supervise and support adult males in custody in a correctional facility classroom at the James River Correctional Center, which is a medium security facility. This position is a 40 hour per week, Monday through Friday, year-round position.

Duties and Tasks

Instruct students enrolled in the adult basic education classes and other elective courses.Counsel and tutor students, as necessary.Participate in teacher meetings, teacher in-service, and other required meetings,Keep records and collect program data.Communicate with stakeholders on programming.

Minimum Qualifications

Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of educational programming, good communication skills, ability to work effectively with adults in custody on a daily basis, and ability to function well as a team member. South Central Human Service Center - Jamestown, ND - Crisis Services TherapistBe part of the solution to the behavioral health crisis. As a team member for ND Department of Health & Human Services, you will ensure the most vulnerable have access to a high-quality healthcare system in which prevention works, treatment is effective, and people recover.In this Crisis Services Therapist, you will conduct crisis stabilization or therapeutic intervention, provide supportive therapy to mitigate crisis situations, develop safety plans for individuals at risk, and assist individuals in obtaining appropriate services, either within or outside agency. You will also coordinate social detox/crisis residential placements and admissions to the North Dakota State Hospital. This position also provides support to the other regions as needed via telehealth platforms. Will also consider those with a master's degree in Counseling and licensure as a LAPC, if the applicant is far enough along with the process to obtain their LPCC within two years from the date of hire. You will provide psychological assessments, psychotherapy, and court testimony. You will also participate in consultation and training with individuals, families, agency staff, and, at times, community partners. To thrive in this position, you should be comfortable with completing all components of psychological assessment and serving as an expert examiner. Previous experience providing consultation and training is beneficial to this position.
