The ND Department of Commerce is seeking a Program Specialist to lead a recruitment strategy for AmeriCorps and National Service programs through the ND Department of Commerce, support member development initiatives, develop outreach initiatives and perform other project functions.As the Program Specialist, you will work alongside the program officer and grant recipients and engage with community stakeholders who strengthen Serve ND (State Commission for National and Community Service) and ND Department of Commerce services. You will develop high-quality recruitment and retention plans for AmeriCorps Programs and align National Service resources with community needs. Working within State Service Plan parameters, this position will translate community engagement goals into real programs and services.The Program Specialist duties will include:Interpret federal regulations.Implement statewide recruitment strategy for AmeriCorps using targeted outreach marketing and other promotional tools and activities. Launch a statewide service partners workgroup collaboratively focused on National Service and volunteer recruitment.Cultivate and sustain meaningful, local partnerships, building pathways to service and service-to-career pathways for local residents, neighborhood groups, youth-serving organizations and faith-based organizations.Conduct AmeriCorps alumni outreach.Support existing contracted partnerships and manage social media accounts for recruitment efforts.Assist program manager and division directors with requests for information.To be considered for this role, you must have a minimum of a two-year associate degree and six months to two years of similar or related experience is required.Additional InformationHourly Pay - $22.00-$30.00 per hourWork Hours - Monday-Friday, not to exceed 25 hours per week. Schedule is flexible and hours may vary.Location - Bismarck, working remotely in ND. Some travel may be required.Position Duration - one year, with possible extension based on status of grant.

The North Dakota Department of Commerce is seeking a Digital Systems Intern for project-based work. The Digital Systems Intern duties include assisting the digital team with day-to-day activities and on-going projects working cross functionally throughout the agency. The intern will work primarily with the Administrative Services Division and the Tourism & Marketing Division at our agency. As a Digital Systems Intern, you will:Assist the digital systems team in their day-to-day activities interacting with various digital projects. Assist with upkeep and records management of the D365 system. Support cleanup and maintenance of digital systems databases. Assist with copying over data and migrating files. Provide administrative support for databases. Light administrative duties. Other duties as assigned.The Digital Systems Intern will have the chance to engage in a variety of learning opportunities as desired and appropriate. By supporting the ND Department of Commerce, you will build knowledge of government relationships, project management, and state agency programs. The Digital Systems Intern will be generally work 15-20 hours per week, with additional hours possible depending on project workload. Hours will be flexible, but supervisory hours are Monday-Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Work location will be Bismarck, ND with flexibility for remote work available. You will be expected to work independently when necessary and closely with other team members as the projects dictate.Eligibility Requirements:Candidates enrolled in college/technical school/certificate programs as well as high school graduates are encouraged to apply. Preferred candidate would have a background in information technology. Proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.)Highly collaborative with strong interpersonal skills, ability to adapt and change approach or methods to fit the situation. Self-directed with the ability to complete projects with limited supervision, take ownership and ask for help when needed, comfortable working under tight deadlines.Additional Information:Pay - $17.00 - $19.00/hourDuration - open-ended; no specified end date.

The Tourism and Marketing Program Administrator will be responsible for managing the tourism grant programs with accuracy and a customer service approach. Additionally, the position will support the tourism and marketing staff in meeting goals for providing consistent and reliable data and information for transparency and efficient program management.As the Tourism and Marketing Program Administrator, you will:Provide overall fiscal and programmatic management of the tourism development grants.Maintain the accuracy of grant programs, procedure guidelines and applications to ensure the documents are complete, up-to-date, and followed. Evaluate grant applications providing technical assistance to recipients regarding eligibility.Develop and update criteria as required for ranking and prioritizing all tourism grant programs.Track, report and review program funds as requests for reimbursements are submitted for processing to ensure expenditures conform to State and agency rules.Create and maintain contacts and communication with Destination Development grantees and projects and manage any requests for changes.Manage miscellaneous projects and coordinate resources needed to meet deadlines and expectations.Assist with logistics for the Travel Industry Conference and product development trips. Research and monitor new activities, businesses, or programs that have visitor appeal for awareness and future engagement.Provide support to entities needing application assistance.
