The North Dakota Department of Agriculture is hiring an Administrative Assistant for a part-time temporary position, may work up to 20 hours per week as needed. This role will provide support to the Business, Marketing and Information Division.Salary: $20.00 hourlyAs a temporary Administrative Assistant, you will be the initial point of contact, greeting and assisting visitors and managing phone calls. You will provide general administrative support to the department. If you are organized, communicative, and enjoy helping others, this role is a great fit for you!Your daily tasks will vary and include front desk administrative support such as greeting visitors, answering and routing phone calls, handling daily deposits, processing incoming mail, managing office supplies, maintaining records, and supporting various department events and programs, including Pride of Dakota holiday showcases.Minimum Qualifications: Associate degree in Business Administration, Office Management, or a related field with one year of relevant experience, or High School diploma (or GED) with three years of relevant experience.Must demonstrate accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail.Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.Preferred Qualifications:Work experience processing mail.Experience working in customer service.Work experience completing daily deposits.Work experience working for a state agency.Application Procedure:Applicants must submit their online application at www.nd.gov/careers before the closing date by 11:59 PM.
