North Dakota State Hospital - Jamestown, ND - Medical Administrative Assistant As a Medical Administrative Assistant , you will be responsible for a high level of administrative office support, as such the duties and responsibilities involve significant responsibility and dependability. Every day you will use your previous administrative office experience to accomplish various routine office duties such as completing reference calls, managing all work orders, office assignments, maintaining records and files, conference room scheduling, purchasing in the Administration building, and coordinating performance reviews for staff. You will have various duties involving Joint Commission accreditation, Medicare and Medicaid standards, private insurance standards, credentialing of all physicians, psychiatrists, psychologists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, psychiatric residents, visiting physicians, and consulting physicians. As a Medical Administrative Assistant , you will need to work at your full potential as this position is also the back-up for both the Administrative Assistant I and Administration Administrative Assistant if needed. To be considered for this position, you must have a high school diploma or GED and six years of experience performing a variety of high-level, complex office support, clerical or secretarial work which included supervisory, lead work or office coordination responsibilities. Additional education with major course work in office support or business, or office education may substitute for up to two years of experience requirement on a year for year basis. About Us : The North Dakota State Hospital (NDSH), located in Jamestown, is a specialized psychiatric hospital that serves the whole state. Services focus on psychiatric rehabilitation, residential substance use disorders treatment, and residential treatment for sexually dangerous individuals.
