Seamstress

Life Skills & Transition Center - Grafton, North Dakota - SeamstressThis is a long-term temporary position. Working hours: approximately 10 hours a week, flexible schedulingHelp play a vital role on our Adaptive Equipment Services (AES) team by providing alteration and sewing services to people supported by the Life Skills & Transition Center. As a Seamstress, you will mend and repair clothes and provide alterations and adaptions based on requests received. You will assist in completing sewing-related projects for wheelchairs and other seating systems, such as chest harnesses and shoulder straps as directed by AES. You must be efficient and comfortable operating a sewing machine, including knowledge of zipper repair. You will obtain work orders through an established management method while communicating project completions and documenting your work in a management reporting program. To thrive in this position, you will need to demonstrate a passion for sewing and commitment to quality service. You are detail oriented and able to work independently. To be considered for this position, you must have a high school diploma or GED.
