The North Dakota Department of Agriculture is seeking a Pride of Dakota Specialist. Our mission is to serve, advocate, protect, and promote agriculture to benefit everyone. As a Pride of Dakota Specialist, you will promote North Dakota businesses and products by creating an identifiable state brand that would designate products as "made in North Dakota. You will provide local entrepreneurs the business development resources and marketing opportunities they need to be successful. The responsibilities of the selected candidate will include:Administer and coordinate the daily operations of the Pride of Dakota program. Maintain membership databaseDevelop presentations and publications to promote North Dakota productsManage grant program to assist companies with regional marketsUtilize a variety of media tools such as websites, print, video, and social media to communicate information regarding Pride of Dakota programCoordinate, plan, and execute annual showcasesSome in-state and overnight travel will be required on weekdays and weekends to fulfill the responsibilities of this position.This role supports the Commissioner in collaboration with the Business, Marketing, and Information Division. Given the necessity for considerable on-site involvement, the position is located at the State Capitol building. Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in business administration, communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field and one year of related professional work experience.Additional work experience related to the position may substitute for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis.Work experience planning, coordinating, and executing marketing or promotional events.Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.A valid Class D driver's license for in-state travel. Preferred Qualification: Working knowledge of the Pride of Dakota program.Work experience organizing and developing marketing and promotional activities and materials.Work experience providing information to a membership-based organization.Work experience planning and writing communications utilizing print, television, radio, online, email, newsletter, and social media.Work experience managing a website.Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Experience with Adobe Creative Suite.
