Career Description
Human Resources - Remote within North Dakota - HR InternGain hands-on experience in HR with a 16-week, 15-hour/week internship in the Human Resources section at North Dakota Health and Human Services. This position offers remote work flexibility from anywhere in North Dakota, with the ability to work during regular business hours. The anticipated start date is January 20, 2025.As our HR Intern, you will collaborate with the Talent Acquisition (TA) team to support initiatives and strategies aimed at building, deploying, and maintaining an effective agency-wide talent pipeline to secure the right talent. You will assist in creating job announcements and other recruitment materials while gaining hands-on experience in sourcing candidates, managing candidate communications, and ensuring a positive applicant experience. Additionally, you will assist the TA team with research and data entry related to talent acquisition metrics, participate in recruitment events, career fairs, and networking activities, and complete special projects. You will have the opportunity to build relationships and promote the HHS story with college, university, and community partners. You will also create marketing materials and social media content. Furthermore, you will gain valuable knowledge and experience in other HR functions.To thrive in this position, you should have an interest in human resources and talent acquisition. You must possess excellent communication and organizational skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to shift priorities as needed. A proactive attitude, a willingness to learn, and the ability to contribute to the team are essential. You should also demonstrate professionalism, a positive attitude, and a solution-oriented mindset. Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and social media platforms is required.To be considered for the HR Intern position, you must be a full-time junior or senior enrolled in an accredited university pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Sociology, Business, Marketing or another related field.
